As Sarah O'Connor (FT) pointed out yesterday, the one good thing to come out of the current arguments about & is that the has not been targeted as a 'cause';

Of course, this is partly because the UK's minimum wage remains quite low & in the competition for staff (in a 'tight' labour market), are having to offer above MW to get staff...

But, it also shows the MW is not just part of the labour market - minimum wages as normality is a good thing!
