After my daughter and her husband moved their stuff out of this room and into their new (old) home, this closet was full of my son's things. James moved out about four years ago, leaving many things in his room and in this closet. I emptied this just now, and there's still ample room left in his old room. Coffee time here then an afternoon of GTA 5 online. I've had enough of 'moving' experiences!

Oldest kid is staying at University this summer between graduation and graduate school to continue working with his research group. I'd thought we'd have him home for a month or two, but no. It's a good opportunity, so I can hardly say hanging with Cancer Mom®, Dad and teen siblings for the summer is the better deal.

Next oldest lives on his own and works most of the time. The two youngest have 3 and 5 years, respectively before flying on to bigger better things. (Hell, I'm facilitating it by encouraging one to literally pursue a pilots license.)

I have interests and a personality beyond being a parent. But, somehow, I'm sitting here having an anxiety attack knowing the time is coming soon when my house won't be chaotic w/ teens or kids running in and out. I love that chaos. I'm bummed the cancer has slowed me down from enjoying these last years of this level of Momness.
