TIL. If there’s a view that’s used as an overlay, and the overlay is sometimes empty, previewing the view directly has erratic behavior.

If the view is meant to be used as overlay, you can also preview it as overlay, giving you predictable behavior even if the overlay is sometimes EmptyView.
