@aderfel My wife & I were just discussing this ... as we were packing for our move back to Montréal later this year ... I mentioned to her that the prov gov was finally building a hospital in Vaudreuil-Soulanges & reminded her that when I was an #EMT for Urgences-santé *40 years ago* it was clear then that there needed to be another hospital w/emergency dept to cover that area to help relieve the pressure on Lakeshore. Plus ça change? And now COVID has really turned the screws.

It's well known that #EMS is basically the absolute shit (poorly paid, long hours, terrible clients) city job you take to get access to a pro firefighter position.

If the #firefighter jobs are all filled then there's literally no upside to working as a city #EMT because there's no advancement path.

What would happen if every single #teacher, #educator and #school employee, and every #physician, #nurse, #paramedic, #EMT, #therapist, #pharmacist, or other licensed #medical practitioner all went on #strike simultaneously in #Florida?

What if they all resigned on the same day? What if they all moved out of Florida?

How does the #DeSantis #economy of #hate serve his constituents?
