@jake4480 i am the ideal enthusiast for #emudeck but its a convoluted mess and i can get some games running but not most. my ancient PSP has a better experience for emulation of old consoles 🤦

Happy #PiDay folks! It doesn’t quite work in the UK, because we use the right date format, but still!

My @Raspberry_Pi acts as my #PiHole and a @tailscale subnet router and exit node for the ultimate remote access setup.

It used to do all my #retro emulation too, but #SteamDeck has taken over that role via #EmuDeck.

It’s also PoE powered, so one less power brick to worry about!

Faffing with #emudeck some more. Got RetroAchievements integration working, tinkering with emulator settings, making some prime picks for the games I should play.

How strange, though. Seem to have run out of time to play anything again.

RetroAchievements.org is such a nice addition to retro gaming!

Very nice integration with #EmuDeck / #EmulationStation / #RetroArch. Entering the RetroAchievements account username/password during the #EmuDeck setup is all that's needed, so it's very userfriendly.

I will use #EmuDeck. And wow, the tool has been improved/extended since the last time I used/installed it.

So, time to make my #SteamDeck a retro gaming monster. :P.

Formatted the SD card and did a factory reset to start with a fresh device.

Next step is to install #EmuDeck and decide which console and its games I'm focusing on first.

Playing around with #EmuDeck for the #SteamDeck. The EmuDeck installer is genius - it allows you to choose which emulators you want to install...
and then it goes ahead and installs ALL OF THEM anyway!

#SteamDeck sounds like a good option, no? It's reasonably priced and and basically a handheld pc.

Runs on Linux (SteamOS). You can install other distros (some things might now work).

I would recommend checking out #EmuDeck if you're interested on retrogaming on the #SteamDeck.
