#indymedia back in the day was "socialy federated" as the was no tech to acheve this then. The project after 10 years was ripped apart by a open/closed argument when one group tryed to use RSS to move to aggregation and local media production feeding up to the top. The other voiceing securaty forced centralisation. What became Activertypub is the path the first group wonted to take. The last 10 years of #encryptionsts is the outcome of the second group. Planing to reboot both approches #OMN

Have been pushing back on this and it seems to be reaching a tiping point now? The is more value in the #openweb is my posative push on this subject.
