Vision Zero is the idea that road deaths & injuries are unacceptable & preventable. It says that humans make mistakes & that the focus should be on designing in safety instead. The root cause for every death or serious injury should be investigated & action taken to stop it from happening again. Road violence is increasing, and there a few reasons for this, not least the shift to larger vehicles. Vision Zero aims to turn this around
