Another old, unreleased soundscape: "Death to the Pretentious Knob-Twiddling Patriarchy Guild". Originally intended as some kind of aural statement against the modular synth revival which seemed to mostly consist of a bunch of middle-aged white guys showing off their insanely expensive vintage gear churning out boring twaddle. Or maybe it's just about me - railing against the world, jealous of other people's audio set-ups, churning out unlistenable crap on my junk set-up, still desperately trying to sound relevant. Anyway, a slightly different version of this will be featured on the ENDE Records 500th release compilation...

Two more of my AI-assisted digital collages have been used for ENDE Records album covers. This time around it's for two unearthed releases from Dimfigure.

Dimfigure was a hardcore, breakcore and glitch producer from Sydney. Beginning on the free party circuit in the late 1990s, he went on to co-found the crew and collective Prohibited Projects in the early 2000s, running underground hardcore parties with them until he joined Killerwatts Sound Systems (KWS) in 2003. As a member of KWS he was known for blistering hardcore and breakcore sets which mixed noise, hardcore, breakcore, glitch records and his own compositions.

From the release description:
Back in April 2022 Swedish breakcore legend Disrrr asked me to remix two of his tracks for his then upcoming album "Rotten". I was in the middle of remixing tracks for a major US industrial band so was already kind of in the zone when he emailed me.
So I took a break from one set of remixes to do another set of remixes, which was really fun and easy because there was no real break in production from one set to the other.
So I chopped up his tracks and fed 'em into the machines and they came out really well. Tracks 2 and 3 were all done in one afternoon and turned out a lot heavier than I expected.
So as the very last Noistruct release for 2022, here now is The Noistruct Disrrr Remixes all complete!
