I'm trying to rule out compression lows as a cause of my nocturnal hypos. I'm pretty sure they are artefactual, but not due to compression - I think they are due to dysautonomia causing changes in interstitial fluid (more on this in a future post). But I want to know if ppl think this contraption - a big sensor cover, would actually do its stated job of preventing compression lows:

Both. From the BMC Med article:
"According to our subgroup analysis, there was a 1.48-fold increased risk of developing type 1 diabetes and a 1.7-fold increased risk of type 2 diabetes compared to patients not infected with COVID-19."

Late Night Salivary Cortisol is THE BEST screening test for pituitary Cushing's🧠.

How does the test work?
We have fluctuating cortisol levels throughout the day, which parallels our circadian rhythm and is lowest at night🛏️.

Cushing's pts lose this evening cortisol nadir.

It's a new age for medical therapy for Cushing's.

We went from 0⃣ FDA approved medications in 2012, to 4⃣ meds each with a different mechanism:

1. Mifepristone
2. Pasireotide
3. Osilodrostat
4. Levoketoconazole

I like the idea of an :smile_animated: ( sounds like something geneticists talk about). Just need to keep it secret from the endo-scopists :scope:

Just glad we don't do the urine tasting that goes with these labels any more!
Not sure that AVPD/AVPR trip off the tongue as easily as DI. Maybe it should be CIDU/RIDU (Central/Renal Inappropriately Dilute Urine.)?
Or something least something based on clinical expression rather than a hormone name that doesn't help the underinformed. The ones that the rebranding is supposed to help.
