What is a credible resource to understand the origin and intent of #EndOTWRacism ? I've seen this as a hashtag or a phrase in display names, in user profiles, and in fanfiction titles. How did this begin?

I considered doing a summary of the #otw board meeting but honestly nothing of note happened with them. They typed out a newsletter and ignored a bunch of serious questions.

I did see a lot of passionate stakeholders connecting with each other, and that gave me hope. Somebody should make a Discord server or hashtag where the like-minded can gather, strategize, and work for change. #endotwracism

The strategic plan is actually quite disappointing, and the lack of a "planning for success" scenario for the hiring of the DEI consultant and the implementation of their suggestions is laughable.

The OTW is utterly incompetent and I'm surprised it hasn't imploded upon itself. #endotwracism

The OTW Board meeting is a fucking farce right now, these jokers have no idea how to run or chair a meeting properly. What a joke.

I wrote a Dreamwidth post as someone who has been part of that community for over 14 years. I wrote in solidarity with #EndOTWRacism, with Stitch & Dr Pande, and in a fury about the lies ppl keep using to undermine any and all antiracist efforts in fandom. https://naye.dreamwidth.org/2394034.html

That’s despite feeling downhearted about the will or ability of the OTW to enact those goals (their own! goals!), due to the revelations described here: https://ao3-volunteer-abuse.carrd.co/. Sigh.

1. It's May 31 here, and I've managed to do a lot of stuff for #EndOTWRacism! It's been really fun to feel engaged in a community activity in fandom again.
2. Have managed to mow most of the lawn with the electric lawn mower, while leaving plenty of long grass & flowers for our pollinator friends.
3. Health is doing fine, and it was nice to WFH with all the online meetings today.
