Right, more kids shot in a school. Just a friendly reminder that our venal politicians aren't going to pass a gun law this week, next week, next month or next year. All the Republicans will get their talking points directly from the NRA, which will mostly consist of "Well, if there'd been a good guy with a gun at the school, nothing would have happened." If there aren't enough Republicans to kill the bill, the NRA will simply pay off enough Democrats to vote no.
Thoughts and prayers won't solve it, tweeting won't solve it, sharing video of the shooter walking around the school like some sort of dime-store incel Rambo won't solve it, even picketing outside NRA headquarters won't solve it. The only way to solve it is to get money out of politics. That's it. And that's not going to happen as long as our entire political system is owned and operated by a cult of "free market" ghouls.
Oh darn it all, did that sound cynical? Hate when I do that.
