First I read that individuals can buy day-ahead, but how does that work? Through the energy company with a variable price contract?

So, you put an offer the day before on how much and when you need your electricity. Then the exchange accepts “winning” offers?
What happens if you don’t win? Or they mean something else?

What is the typical buyer for DAM vs future markets?

So many questions…
