Just hit credits on #EnGarde and for a tiny little game that barely anyone has spoken about I think it's an absolutely incredible achievement.

I originally thought it was Sekiro Reborn, but I actually think it's maybe got a bit in common with the wonderful #Sifu aswell.

Definitely recommend it to anyone who likes snappy combat. Batman meets Sifu with Sekiro thrown in for good measure.

Looks really sweet too.

I've been playing some #EnGarde this evening and if I was going to be really reductive I'd say it's Pirates of the Caribbean meets Sekiro meets Fable and you know what? It's bloody wonderful.

#EnGarde by Fireplace Games is such a fun game. Bought it last week but only had time to play it today. Was having a good time with the combat and using stuff lying around in the environment for schenanigans.

So the #EnGarde demo was a little bit on the short end, but decently shows off the game.

The sword-on-sword combat gets very quickly overwhelming when more than one opponent are involved, and that's pretty much where the game wants you to start kicking props at opponents and try to divide them up. It took a little while for it to click, and I ended up rebinding the controls quite a bit, but I think it's worth checking out when it fully releases.
