I know this is petty, but has anyone else noticed that no one, and I mean nobody including well educated professionals, on-air personalities, even teachers appears to know how to use “I” and “me” anymore? “Me” appears to be going away for good, as everybody now substitutes “I” in instances, both written and spoken, when “me” should be used. Don’t come at me, I’m a wordsmith, a story teller, and these small details are part of my DNA.

Another :

What's with people putting a comma after the subject?

At this point, I'm used to people using an apostrophe with plural. Don't understand it, but used to it. E.g. "No student's allowed."

But, what's with the subject + comma?

Examples: "His sister's friend, is coming to visit next week." or "The car I bought last week, runs well."

Seems to happen when subject phrase is a couple of words.

Further, farther… What’s the difference? Is it just two different spellings of the same word? The answer is yes—and no.

This can be confusing, so have a look at my latest blog post: grammaticus.blog/2023/03/06/fu
