On the TV it looks like poor people in single isolated rubber boats, some paying with their lives

AND "illegal" is an #englishRight term (welcome, by the way - the first #rightWinger I have met on #mastodon ) with no force in law. Until their case reaches a court, there is nothing illegal.

Maybe if the #uk was not a haven for #dirtyMoney and an enormous #blackMarket allowing undocumented work to pass undetected for years they would not come here?
