The Big Freeze of Winter 1962/63 - one of the coldest winters on record in the UK ... and my dad took mum and me over the hills of Derbyshire to visit friends on our motorbike and sidecar - we were very hardy in those days 😄🥶❄ Dad took photos along the way and here am I aged about 3 years frozen to the signpost for Charlesworth, Chapel en le Frith and Buxton 😄

I would kill for fireplace or a log burner. I am tired of putting on the heating to stay warm or buying wool socks so my feet don’t get cold.

I’m almost at the point where I might buy a fire pit and sit outside by a roaring fire, as I think I’d be warmer.

Until then, I’m going to have a hot shower to try and get the chill out of my bones. #englishwinter
