In German, "schmerzbefreit" literally translates to "freed from pain", but it is also the expression for someone repeatedly trying to *negotiate* stamp prices and international postcard arrival times with the clerk in a post office three days before X-mas ... so glad the end of the queue was way too far for people to overhear. #EnjoyYourLanguage

The German interjection "ui" can mean a lot of things.

It mostly depends on how many times in a row you use it:

"Ui!" - "Wow!"
"Uiuiui!" - "Oh no, that's bad!"
"Uiuiuiuiui!" - "Sh*t! We're in trouble!"
"Uiuiuiuiuiuiuiuiui!" - "RUN! The alarm has gone off!"
