The Sandy Hook shooting happened in 2012, and the children were in 1st grade, which means they should be high school seniors this year. 💔 I know this because my daughter was the same grade as the victims when it happened, and today was her first day of senior year. 😞

One of the tricks my brain weasels play is to convince me I'm not getting anything done. On those days, I keep a to-done list and write down even small things like taking out the trash or washing a load of clothes that I normally wouldn't even register doing. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed by life. I feel alone although I do have a few good friends who love me. It’s hard to be a single mum in the world. It’s hard to raise kids who have special needs on your own, kids who are still and essentially always will be mourning the loss of their dad 😢💔 tonight I feel listless, a little sad. Tomorrow will be a better day 💜as long as I have breath in my body I will keep going. Some days I go slowly - small steps, and don’t get a lot done. Today I worked on my weaving.
