Imagine a future without oil rigs, refineries, tanker trucks and leaky buried petrol tanks! I have the equivalent of all that on my roof. Today. With no emissions. Heck I pray for another day with a "solar spill". 🤪

@SforStuart @jfparis I don't have a battery, I use the #Enphase API too for the panels. I've never compared day by day with what is being reported to Octopus, I expect they differ, but by how much.

@Stubbs @jfparis I can see my solar readings from #Enphase #Envoy but they do differ from my #AlphaESS battery. I cannot seem to access my batteries directly so using an unsupported HASS connector. Wonder what Battery you have?

Just had my #SolarPanels and #batteries installed over the last couple of days. #HomeAssistant can see my #Enphase unit but looking to contact my #AlphaSmile-B3 #AlphaESS batteries and information. Looking to pull the information into #HomeAssistant is there a way to connect directly than use their cloud website and not sure how do do either .. any suggestions?

This is, of course, after Tigo, #SolarEdge, and #Enphase successfully lobbied the NEC to put module level rapid shutdown as a requirement for solar systems going forward. Bit of a dick move.

Funny story about implementing #solar on my house. I have an #Enphase system and I have connected it by #RJ45 to my network. When it boots it complains it can’t see the network. Finally I set my phone up as a wifi access point (which bypasses all the pi-hole DNS nonsense) and poof! It works fine. So have to go figure out what it REALLY wants to do.

Their #firewall config page makes it sound like all they have to do is make a few port 443 connections and a bit of NTP. I’ll bet that’s not all. https://support.enphase.com/s/article/How-do-I-set-up-the-Envoy-if-there-is-a-firewall

I'm not sure if it was just the cold weather increasing the efficiency of the panels but my solar array produced over 80kWh today despite it being a bit cloudy. 19kw peak was nearly as high as my 24kw peak achieved in August!
