Another workshop painting with Studio56 Boutique and Hazel Soan, this one painting a street scene. I really struggled with this and I'm not sure how to move my skill forward. But it was interesting, and doing more drawing would probably help!

And here is my outdoor painting kit assembled ready to go.
Just add 1/4 sheet of paper taped to A3 Correx corrugated lightweight plastic & brushes. Will take any size to full sheet.
The holders on the easel turns 90 degrees for transporting.
I’m using it inside next to my stand-up desk to get used to it before venturing out this summer.
Everything is lightweight except for the tray, which may get replaced when I source a better alternative.

Here is my outdoor painting kit.
A tripod, an extension arm, an easel, collapsible water pot, USK / gurney style easel, palette tin, iPad / projector tray and collapsible stool. Just add brushes and pop in a bag.
I chose the arm set up as I can hang things from it like water pots, or I could add an arm and camera to the left.
Screw the tray on, put the arm horizontal and tighten, extend legs, clip in easel mount. Assembled in under 2 minutes.

Took mum out for lunch and a chat, which was absolutely lovely and I think we made her day.
Assembled my outdoor easel from an assortment of bits and it looks like it will do the job very nicely.
It’s not as light as I originally wanted, but it is very steady and didn’t require me buying tools. Looks very professional. Complete #watercolour setups are not readily available in UK and the US ones cost too much to ship. Now I need to use it!

Painting watercolor sunsets en plein air is hard as fuck! (Excuse my French).
There’s this whole issue of, you know, having rapidly disappearing light to paint by. Pretty obvious when you think about it, but I clearly didn’t, lol.
I think I need to work both faster and smarter.
