Thanks for the link. They've started targeting the UK in the last month or so, but I'll bet the losses per order are similar.

It sounds like they've got the #enshittifcation all done at the supplier end. All they need to do is wait for their market share to be big enough and start raising their prices. It'll be interesting in a car crash kind of way to see if they ever turn a profit. In the meantime, I weep for the damage done to the environment and small suppliers.

@ampersine what get's me most is not the #GAFAM doing #LateSageCapitalism & being willingul snitches in #Cyberfacism - that shouldn't surprise anyone who knows about #PRISM & #CloudAct - but the fact that consumers and corporations seem to accept this shit as if the #enshittifcation of everythin in #tech is natural, normal and without alternatives.

Crap like that is why I don't use any #Microsoft product whatsoever!

Whelp, another chapter in the annals of #enshittifcation coming up on Feb 9.

Bummed about the upcoming end of free Birland API access.

We use it to display timelines of local newsrooms, elected officials & community groups. Our bots tweet out traffic telemetry from CHP and others as well as other automated posts.

It'll require effort to deprecate use of the 2.0 API on our site and in our workflow, not sure if we'll try to incorporate the successor API.

Just ... fuhhhhhh.
