Birthday today! Family surprised me yesterday with an early birthday present. Wonderful surprise and truly grateful. Looking forward to get gaming again for the first time in over a decade. One reason is the freedom to use whatever you want: Classic dreads instead of "wraithlords", first edition looking Orks instead of bigger meaner Orks, etc.
Second is price. It's way cheaper than big stuff.
And third, but more important: They are miniatures. Not action figure. I'm tired of the scale creep. I joined "the hobby" because I liked small models. Now everything's huge.

Painted in one hour, using Vallejo XPress Troll Green and Imperial Yellow. Lights done adding AK-Interactive Pale Yellow and Light Grey. Shadows and feathering used Xpress Black Lotus + Troll Green + a drop of water (it's the best thing I've done in a matter of seconds, look at the helm and the sword!).
