I usually sand my pieces to a gloss but I am so sick of that I tried finishing a set of magnet sliders with UV resin. I sanded the surface up to 600 grit and then cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. After curing, the top coat instantly delaminated when I pulled the masking tape off the edges. Chucking these into the fail bag.

The glass, the "liquid" and the plater are UV epoxy casts. I handmade the umbrella from bamboo and paper, the straw is a wire. The content of the plater and the lemon are leftovers from the many miniature house kits I have.
The thick grid is 1inch

New build. Two Black Walnut slabs, black epoxy base fill. Inlayed hexagons to match my studio made from Blood wood and Purple Heart. The hexagons will intertwine their way along the full length of the desk which is about 79" long x 38" wide. The top finish will be clear. Long way to go!

A tip for anyone with . Hand sanitizer, the stuff we used so much of, removes it brilliantly from skin (and even worktops). Before it sets, that is.

Brass nuts in plastic is quite common way to hold cases together, and they are the first thing to fail in all my notebooks since mid-00s. The solution is easy - putty/plasticine. You just put nuts in their places, stuff entire section of case, where nuts are located with epoxyline, press hinges against it to form flat seating surface and leave it settle. Sometimes there are plastic protrusions to keep higes from rotating around screws, you can put pieces of wire or cut screws instead.
Epoxyline is not a perfect adhesive, so you need to add some regular epoxy/cynacrilate glue after it sets to hold everything in place. I've done this for my notebooks and notebooks of my friends dozens of time. Usually it turns out more sturdy than the hinges/bolts.
Extreme care should be taken not to get glue into the thread. I usually fill it with hot glue before putting in place.
Anyway well done! Cool to see people ing things!

So our very nice (and equally annoying) whistling kettle has broken its one and only moving part. The flip up whistle no longer has a working hinge. As don't currently supply replacement parts, and nothing on ebay seems to fit, I'm going to have to rebuild the hinge. Le Creuset were very nice and even though it's out of warranty they sent a replacement kettle, however, this is missing the point somewhat.

Cockpit table getting new screws. Stainless, because brass screws are such a silly idea. They meet some seawater and turn into pudding (dezincification).

Successfully dug out the broken screw remains and epoxy filled the hole.

Waiting for it to cure, which shoud be quick in the warm tent!
