I can't get a picture of the UV emitter on the phone soap in action. But I found a position for the lid that is not quite closed at which the emitter turns on. It is a lot brighter than the other unit.
I positioned the window for the eprom directly over the UV element. It only took 2 sessions of 5-minutes each to erase the #EPROM.

This is the last u it that I tried. This is a UV cleaner named "Phone Soap." I received this as a gift years ago, but didn't use it. My plus-sized phones fo t fit in it. This runs on a 12-volt power supply, and runs 300 seconds, then turns off.

Looking at a picture, I see a difference in intensity on the near and far end of the UV emitter. After I saw that, I realized that I should place the EPROM as close to the brighter side as possible.
I saw no results in the EPROM after a few 20 minute sessions. I decided to just let it run, stop checking and went off to watch Wakanda Forever (2 hours 43 minutes). When I checked on the #Eprom again, it was erased.

The second option was this phone sanitizer. It charges over USB and is light weight. This is a portable device. Results with it were mixed. At first, I was having no success.
I avoid looking into UV lights directly. But that doesn't mean that I can't point my camera at it and have it take a picture! Doing so gave some insight as to why I could not erase an #Eprom with it at first.

For this setup, I just put the EPROM outside and positioned it to face the sun. I came out occasionally to adjust it with the movement of the sun.
After it had been out for most of the day, no bits were erased.
Seeing that @francc had corroborating information, I see no reason to go further with this. setup.

Programming was easy enough. After informing the software of what #EPROM I had, I opened then file, and hit "Program."

To get those bits onto an EPROM, I used this programmer from Amazon (affiliate link https://amzn.to/3jCZOK4 ).
I'm a bit paranoid about downloading the random software for it. I work with this completely within a virtual machine with no Internet access.
