You missed your chance today to grab a zebra!

"Wir haben nicht mit dem deutschen Huhn gerechnet!"
On #Asstodon were are happy to allow mules, cartoon images of Eeyore or Shrek, and even an occasional zebra (in order to give Rang a weekly #equusquagga fix)... but chicken pictures are going too far.
The Spanish Inquisition was taken by surprise: "Nobody expects the German chicken!"

Ah! Another bad morning at the zebra auction? π¦
The #ΓneNouveau seems to be developing nicely! π¦
(BTW #equusquagga is tag that links to other zebra posts.)
Mules are definitely #Asstodon territory and we have already included #equusquagga which is - of course - the zebra! Our equine owner contributors include those who own both horses and donkeys but we try to keep more #equusasinus focused! The occasional mule would be very welcome. :-)

Somehow, we seem to keep mentioning zebras here, but we're not zebra nerds. Honest. If you don't get this joke it's because you're not a computer nerd.

Oh how sweet, and I too had a zebra all along, and never knew it!
So children, the message is: no more prejudice against zebras! We are all zebras now. (Roll credits...)
Maybe I'm being over-cautious. Before I retired from teaching here in Costa Blanca, I asked one of my students whose parents run a local wildlife park if I could go in with the zebras.
A couple of weeks later one of the keepers was trampled by zebras, so after that I was not allowed anywhere near them, and no longer found the idea appealing! π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦
Oh no! Please don't encourage @rangiferusbunerus in these mad fantasies about keeping zebras... They may be equines but they are crazies. π¦ π¬
#donkeyoftheday number 23:
Polka dot zebra foal. (Yes, I know it's an #equusquagga not an #equusasinus but I make the rules so I picked it.)
This zebra's coat is caused by a genetic mutation ('pseudomelanism' for those who collect technical terms) and it was not expected to be long lived. The foal - named Tira by a ranger - was born in Kenya but migrated and disappeared for a while before being seen again in Kenya.
