The very subtle nod to Night Circus in The Starless Sea is just amazing! OMG I loved this book and now I’m so confused. I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.

This book is like a contemporary fairytale and a fever dream all wrapped up in poetic prose.

I can’t believe this might end up being the second book I pick up to re-read right after I finish it. Erin Morgenstern can write absolutely anything next and I’ll sell my soul to read it.

I can’t remember who recommended it to me, but it has indeed been truly magical & a proper escape into another world.

I didn’t always follow what was going on, but got carried along with it, as if by magic.

Erin Morgenstern’s writing opens up a feast for the reader’s imagination. I won’t give too many examples in the hopes that any readers will go feast for themselves, but not a chapter goes by without some description that bears rereading.
