I am a member of #erithyachtclub and this weekend we ran a#discoversailing day for people to visit the club in #erith on the #riverthames in #london and try sailing for the first time. I was amazed that in the end we had people on the water aged from 18 months to over 80 years old. #sailingnews

I've always liked rivers but walking along them has become more and more important to me. This year the Clyde, Thames & Mersey, as well as tributaries, have provided the backdrop to wanderings of peace and solace. Against all expectations, the #Erith derby is going ahead tonight. I couldn't manage it in this weather. Hope it isn't abandoned midway through. #SCEFL #NonLeague #football ⚽️

No sign of a change in the forecast of torrential rain, so I'll reluctantly pass on the #NonLeague #SCEFL #Erith derby tonight and catch up on Days 2 and 3 of the #sumo instead.

Looking like my planned 4 hour round trip on London buses to the #SCEFL #Erith derby tomorrow evening is likely to be scuppered by torrential rain. I can't be standing under a tree at Erith Leisure Centre to keep dry again.
