Another missing colour from the 1970 UK anniversary set; they seem to have been lax with their quality controls, but then again some of these missing colours are quite hard to spot. Stamp as issued at left, error at right. Can you see the difference? #errorstamps #gbstamps #ukstamps #philately #timbres

UK 1980 Charlotte Brontë missing “p” error. This was my first error stamp, got while a teenager and for years, until I saw a mint copy I didn’t notice the missing p. It’s one of the cheapest and obtainable errors #errorstamps #ukstamps #gbstamps #timbres #philately

My most recent purchase and a stamp that’s been on my must have list for a long, long time. On my recent Europe and UK trip I visited Stanley Gibbons and they kindly showed me some of their modern UK rarities, one of which was SG679a, 3d 1965 Post Office Tower with the olive-yellow omitted. This error is a progressive error, that is, some stamps show partial omission and some complete. Readers, I bought it. #errorstamps #stampcollecting #ukstamps #gbstamps #philately #stanleygibbons
