📌 #ERVEBO è un vaccino destinato a proteggere dalle malattie causate dal virus Ebola, utilizzato per cercare di controllare i focolai di Ebola in Africa.

📌 E’ un vaccino ricombinante a vettore virale basato su un virus chiamato virus di stomatite vescicolare (VSV), modificato per contenere una proteina del virus Ebola sulla sua superficie. Questa proteina è in grado di stimolare il sistema immunitario a produrre una risposta difensiva contro il virus Ebola.

📌 🇺🇸 FDA has approved an expanded indication for #ERVEBO, which is now indicated for the prevention of disease caused by Zaire ebolavirus in individuals 12 mo and older.

📌The vaccine was previously approved for use in individuals 18 yr and older.

📌 ERVEBO does not protect against other species of Ebolavirus or Marburg and the duration of protection is unknown.
