Systematic review of 10 #esketamine RCTs for #depression finds that ~40% of adverse events are omitted from publications—nearly all of those events (94%) happened to participants in the esketamine (not placebo) arm.
Overall reporting quality 'poor'.

Excited to share our pioneer pilot crossover #RCT testing arketamine for treatment-resistant #depression (TRD). Racemic #ketamine is a mixture of #arketamine and #esketamine. Preclinical data and one open-label human trial suggest arketamine might exert a more potent and longer-lasting #antidepressant effect with fewer side effects. However, arketamine was not superior to #placebo for #TRD in our study.

@amy i've taken that but they moved me to a tricyclic antidepressant when i was in partial sixish years ago and i am wary of going back to snri/ssri at the moment because reasons.

next big change i will have is starting an #esketamine clinical program within the next few weeks. my therapist is going to tag along for my first administration which is so amazing because i've wanted to trip with a therapist since forever 😂 i am so excited about it!

Today is my weekly Spravato treatment. I've been doing these since March and had really good results. This last month, tho, depression has started creeping in. My anxiety has skyrocketed and I'm having mild panic attacks. I am rethinking some of the meds I thought Spravato eliminated the need for.

There is no perfect cure, at least not that I've found.
