I succeeded in establishing a connection with the FTP server and ... stopped. I used #espconn api and the more I read the description of its functions, the stronger the feeling becomes that it is worth dropping to a lower level and studying #lwip, on which espconn is based. Nothing tangible, just a precognition... soft of😉
