The drag and drop support for the Esper Genesis roll20 character sheet is kinda broken. Trying to powers from the compendium into the character sheet is quite broken.

Who else thinks #5e is a brand unto itself? I wonder if #WOTC was surprised by the popularity of 5e, and I don't mean strictly related to #DnD. I mean games like #LotR, Doctors and Daleks (#DoctorWho), #EsperGenesis, #AdventuresinMiddleEarth, etc.? Is the new #OGL designed to kill the 5e brand? #RPG #TTRPG #OpenDND

I've been here a while and should probably do an #introduction. I've started playing #DnD in the early 80s, and many of us still play together. Other games I started with were the original Marvel Super Heroes and Twilight 2000. My current games include:

Tomb of Annihilation (DM)
5e conversion of the Shackled City AP (DM)
All dwarf homebrew D&D campaign (player)

Other games I want to try are #Pathfinder2e, #bladesinthedark, #espergenesis, and #WoD (again). And others.

Another adventurous #scifi #dnd5e session in the books. The PCs got reprimanded for damaging the space station by Tony Reward (the local crime boss) because they made her business difficult. And they also got scolded by Station Security Chief Tynig making his life full of more paperwork. Then they took on the job of finding some drug pushers on the station and disrupting their business.

Notion has been critical in helping me organize my two #ttrpg campaigns effectively. One is a traditional #dnd campaign in a Homebrew setting. The other is a #espergenesis campaign (a sci-fi setting built on #dnd5e). Its so easy to check my notes and keep things up to date, and I can share each notebook separately. So each campaign group gets their own wiki style Lore site.

The party was asked to deal with an internal matter for a local gang. To get rid of a gang thug who is disrupting business. If they are successful, they will be building contacts within the space station. New opportunities will open up. Jimmy the Fist doesn't stand a chance.

Today's session was the first time the party acted in a populated area. They are trying to gain the favor of a local gang and raise some money. Space is expensive. Osiris Terminal is not ready for them.

When I am planning out my #dnd and #espergenesis games, I think about what a reasonable person would do. Example, if a bbeg is concerned that someone would come and steal a thing, how would he plan to prevent its theft. What I don't do is try and counter the players abilities. If a player has a killer ability that makes it easy? Great, let them have it! If they don't? Well, I guess they better come up with something quick. I love the #dnd5e ruleset and am very happy with the games I play with it. But I also love #sci-fi #ttrpg games. So when I came across #espergenesis it was like a dream come true. I know a lot of people will (and have) said "why don't you try a system designed for sci-fi" and the answer is simply I don't want to. 5e is flexible and powerful enough that I can do sci-fi there, and I can find players for it easily. I am running an #espergenesis game (heroic sci-fi #ttrpg) and I would like to know if you guys have any recommendations for story inspiration. I am watching all the TV shows I can, but I would like here what others can recommend.

After the first 3 sessions of my #espergenesis campaign, my players are throwing away the pregens and making their own characters. First stumbling block, there isn't an online character builder/tool like there are for #dnd5e games. So I made a Google Forms for my players to submit there characters to me. Yeah, I used to be a teacher... how could you tell? #ttrpg

This hurricane is putting a damper on my #espergenesis #dmprep. I have #dndencounters to plan, and monster stat blocks to put in my #GameMaster5e encounter planner. I also have some story beats to map out for Saturday.

I love the 5e system and I love sci-fi. So I have been on a quest to find a good #5e scifi game/conversion.
I came across #Hyperlanes a while back. They have a neat way of doing races. A race was made up of two parts. A) species - which gives physical based features and B) culture - which gives non-physical features and languages. This allowed the dm and player to make a truly unique set of races specific to the game and setting.

DM #hottake : I reskin and reflavor almost all monster stat blocks. I don't even look at what a creature is. I just look for a creature of the CR I need, and attack types I want. Then describe it however I envision the monster is supposed to look.

I have a personal wiki for my #espergenesis campaign so my players can reference stuff if they want, but mostly it's for me during the game so I can talk about stuff consistently. This is the layout for the station's page they are arriving at next session. I'm using #Notion for my reference wiki! #ttrpg #dnd5e

@dysonlogos I recently started dming a scifi campaign ( #espergenesis ) and I am looking for maps for it all the time. Do you make any of those? I haven't seen any on your site, but there is a lot the sift through.
