Here's an interesting Astro photo I took of what is commonly known as the Elephant Trunk Nebula (about 2,400 light years away from Earth!). This was taken with a color camera using a dual-band narrowband filter and then I ran it through a star removal feature. It looks like a painting. Love it! The scale here is amazing - these dust clouds are enormous! A very active star forming region.

This is an image I took of the Pleiades cluster also known as The Seven Sisters or Messier 45 This is an open star cluster containing middle-aged, hot B-type stars in the north-west of the constellation Taurus.

This was another huge integration for me - over 700 1-minute images integrated in #PixInsight. Observed with an #esprit120 #telescope and images with an #asi2600mc pro color camera.

This was taken on an #esprit120 #apo #telescope with an ASI2600MCO Pro Camera using a Paramount mount.

Orion is an interesting object to image because there are so many satellites that cross in front of it. Takes some interesting image processing to cancel out the streaks.

During #covid we set up an #Observatory out in the middle of nowhere #texas - #asi2600 #esprit120 #telescope - We have a lot of data gathered and publish a lot for free. Going to see if we can bring that to the #fediverse using some of the image hosting and data sharing tools.
