EBMUD is repurposing old pipelines to deliver recycled water to Alameda for irrigation, and Richard Bangert explains that it's critical to extend these lines to Alameda Point's vulnerable wetlands. "Without the supply system in place in the near future, important seasonal wetlands will likely be destroyed."

Today’s #cycle trip was to #Exmouth which is about 18 km away by #bike mostly on #cyclepaths. It has been a bright sunny day but still a bit cool. This is a #photograph of the #ExeEstuary which opens out into the #EnglishChannel. It was #LowTide and so you can see #SandBanks in the middle of the #estuary which form a #habitat for #birds but also a #NavigationalHazard. You can see the opposite #bank too which is in #Starcross.
