C'est pas faute d'avoir tenté #etcher, #rufus et #unetbootin

Les bonnes vielles manières, sous linux :

$ cp ubuntu-22.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso /dev/sda

/!\ en s'assurant bien que /dev/sda est la clé usb destinée à l'installation

I would like to formally apologize to everyone including lord #gaben for trying to install windows 11 on my #steamdeck. While it was mostly successful I realized I didn't want to manage multiple windows machines and playing gamepass on SD was like the only reason I did it. After an uneasy feeling I'm back to installing #steamos on it. However, I'm having issues getting the image to flash with #etcher. So regret is REALLY sinking in now. the end

Personnellement j'utilise #Etcher pour créer une clef usb bootable avec l'image Iso de mon souhait et ensuite tester sur l'ordinateur.

Took me 4 tries before I got the bootable USB stick working on the laptop. #etcher saved the day.

It's ubiquity exposes the effectiveness and quirks of #typescript to so many people, irrespective of their os ,isa, processor, stack otherwise

@kadin Umm.... I always just use #Balena #Etcher. Just paste in the iso download URL, select the card to write to and a few minutes later you have a bootable card. You don't even need to wait for the download to complete before it's writing.

Hope you all have a fun and creative weekend! When I was in commercial art school in the 80s an assignment was to create a #negative-positive #etcher like design.

Recently I found this #graphicdesign in my old stuff and played with it in #procreate. This is one of the warped versions. I applied this to an all over printed t-shirt and now I have to see if I am brave enough to get one and wear it.

I call it my Zipbug design because it looks like little bugs zipping about. 🤣😌🐞

I tried to use balena #etcher on Linux (64-bit) to write an image to an SD card. If you use a webbrowser on 64-bit Linux and visit the website

and download the offered file this won't work. You'll get the version v1.5.115 which reports "expired certificate" and then just exits.🤔
You should visit the website

instead and get the current v1.90 (!) for Linux 64-bit. This works fine for me.

Je sais pas si c'est générique comme proposition ou si c'est personnalisé par rapport au nom de fichier que je suis en train de flasher qui contient "rpi".
