Every few years I end up doing a (more-or-less) deep dive into the history and taxonomy of the genus Citrus. It _never_ fails to delight and confuse me.

Woodhead is (of course) a tentacle of Elsevier, but the summary of recent work is just headbending, and they're not even looking at locally produced cultivars and hybrids in particular Asian culture areas. I do wish there had benn a chapter on #ethnobiology . Missed opportunity there.

In #ethnobiology we use walking together with experts as a hybrid interview/mapping #researchMethod --- this is a lovely example of a similar embodied collaboration being used as environmental #countermapping in an urban area in Switzerland.

@pvonhellermannn count me in 🙂 In my work as a garden designer, I'm really pushing for #wildlife habitat & #NativePlants to be integrated with #ForestGarden edible crops.

A brilliant related book is Kat Anderson’s Tending the Wild, she has introduced me to the existence of #ethnobiology and #EconomicBotany!

@ProfBatGirl I'd I had unlimited money and no COVID I'd be headed to the society for #ethnobiology in Atlanta, #ESA in Portland, Royal #Geograpy Society in London, and British #ecological Society in Belfast.
