All three of you have not only been friends to me, but each of you have made financial contributions over the past few years to help me. Thank you.
In 2012 I created this map of who I was connected w on Facebook. This was prior to me meeting #clmooc & #etmooc. I've been trying connect people from these networks w each other, creating a larger network supporting kids.
Maybe connecting you is a start.
See graphic at https://tutormentor.blogspot.com/2012/10/what-is-your-network-doing-to-help.html
Hi Jeff. For 35 years I led volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs in Chicago that connected inner city kids w workplace mentors at a non-school location.
I created Tutor/Mentor Connection in 1993 and Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC in 2011 to try to help similar programs get the resources & ideas to grow in more places.
I'm connected to networks of educators via #clmooc, #etmooc and #etmooc2. You might find them a valuable addition to your network.

I was part of the original #ETMOOC 10 years ago, and highly recommend the experience.

There's much more activity on Mastodon.cloud but unless I search for #clmooc #etmooc #tutormentor and/or #nonprofit I don't see many posting about the topics that are important to me.
I joined a Mastodon.ngo today to see if it might aggregate more social sector people, but it's too early to tell.

I participated in podcast last night w educators I first met in 2013 via the #ETMOOC on-line event.
Some from #clmooc were part of this prior to helping start their own learning exchange later in 2013.
Find the link in this Twitter post. https://twitter.com/jill_hw/status/1628957451264327682?s=20
I keep urging #nonprofit youth #tutormentor & #afterschool programs to host similar events. I think the annual National Mentoring Summit comes closest although the cost to participate is a barrier.

In January 2013 I joined an on-line learning event, titled Education, Technology and Learning MOOC, or #ETMOOC. It connected hundreds of people from around the world.
Last night I joined a 10 year reunion ZOOM call. I expected it to last maybe an hour. It went for 2 hours!
There were only maybe 8-10 on the call, but by the time we finished we were inspired to launch some new learning in 2023, focusing on new ChatAI, which right now I know almost nothing about how it works.
@tutormentor1 @cogdog
I saw the tweet amazingly enough. So far about 15-30% of people I know have migrated over so I didn't expect many #etmooc to make it either
I've been aggregating links to your and others who write about learning and cMOOCs in this section of my library. I just updated it with your recent post about #ETMOOC.

The goal of the library is to help others learn from good work being done in some places that can be applied in many other places.
Here's the #ETMOOC 2013 participation map. https://mapalist.com/map/de19f75b-bb05-43b2-b9f8-26ebc3912100
It was shared by @cogdog on Twitter yesterday.
While I still hosts Twitter lists of participants, I don't see posts from a high percent of them. I doubt that many are here on Mastodon.
This #map shows participants who registered for the #ETMOOC in January 2013. I was one of them.
I've encouraged others who host events to regularly build participation maps and use them to determine "who's there & who's missing".
This process should be on-going in effort to get more people involved in solving local and global problems.
Share your own participation maps if you have them. See this at https://mapalist.com/map/de19f75b-bb05-43b2-b9f8-26ebc3912100

Great stuff @karenatsharon #etmooc for the win. #ds106 is awesome too.

Ten years since #etmooc I wonder how many of those friends made it to #mastodon yet

Helping people write better requires a range of #mentoring, #tutoring and #teaching support.
Helping them reach a wider audience requires a commitment to share each other's work in your own networks and social media on a regular basis.
I think it can also be aided by those who aggregate and share links to blog, books, and websites of writers they support.
I point to many #clmooc & #etmooc blogs at https://tutormentorexchange.net/resource-links/blog-library
