@kaydo this is my home area. People, please #give what you can. The #devastation here in the region is almost unbelievable and I’m incredibly lucky that my town has only had moderate flooding so far. #Eugowra is all but destroyed. So many people #displaced. It’s easy to ignore when it’s not in your area.

I played a couple of memorable gigs in #Eugowra, one at a pub whose manager wore a pornographic T-shirt, got pissed off that we got more attention than he did, then asked us to play another few sets for free; the other was at the Eugowra Bike and Truck show slotted between the PG-rated strippers and the AC/DC cover band. Our band manager/pianist was living the life as #ElwoodBlue and conned us onto the stage. Stage Manager: "but you're not on the running list" Faux Elwood: "The list is wrong".

I took this photo of flood markers in the small town of Eugowra, New South Wales, Australia in May of 2019.

This week, torrential rains caused a sudden and violent surge that saw this creek rise to the 9.75-metre mark, overwhelming the town. A woman died, a man is missing and 159 of the town's 700 residents had to be rescued, according to the Guardian.

My thoughts are with the folks of Eugowra, and the many surrounding communities that were also inundated. #eugowra #nsw #australia #floods
