Vanochtend met ruim 40 mensen van overheidsdatahouders en MinBZK een kennissessie rond de high value open data verplichtingen die voor juni 2024 moeten zijn vervuld. In 2020 schreef ik een deel van de analyse die tot deze wet heeft geleid (het stuk over aardobservatie-, milieu,- en weerdata). Vanochtend kijken we met overheidsorganisaties wat er moet gebeuren. Blij te horen dat de EU High Value data uitvoeringsverordening nu akkoord is en dit jaar nog gepubliceerd wordt. Een streep onder meer dan twee decennia discussie en rechtszaken om geo- handelsregister- en meteorologische data gratis beschikbaar te krijgen. I'm pleased to hear that the EU High Value Data implementation act is fully agreed by the MS. A close to two decades and more to get geographic, company and meteorological data available across Europe free of charge. The first mandatory pro-active publishing of open government data across all public sector bodies across the EU.

It's finally here published today: the proposal for the EU High Value Data list. The list for the first time makes open data publication mandatory for government concerning (for now) 6 themes (geographic information, meteorology, mobility, statistics, earth observation and environment, and company information)
