Tomorrow, the #PSC will decide on a Crisis Management Concept for a new European civilian #CSDP Mission to #Armenia. #EUMA will build on the temporary #EUMCAP from 2022. This process, strongly supported by the #EU's European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM), shows that civilian #CSDP can be rapid, flexible and political if member states put political will and resources to it (and, in this case, after a strong unilateral push from France's #Macron).

#EUMCAP #Armenia's temporary mandate comes to an end, but #EU decides to deploy planning team for follow-up civilian #CSDP mission. The whole process (strongly pushed by #EmmanuelMacron which not all member states liked in the beginning) could become an inspiring example for the potential of civilian CSDP missions. Very important, also for the #NewCompact to be launched by Sweden during EU Presidency #EU2023SE in May 2023.
