By means of the dams in Southern Turkey, Erdogan purposefully curbed water last summer to the #Euphrates and #Tigris to harm #Kurds in #Syria and #Iraq.

And Stoltenberg okayed it last summer in his comment he'd "understand #Turkey's #Türkiye's security needs".

#Erdogan is just like #Assad and #Putler.
And I don't know what #NATO is if the member countries continue to back Erdogan's atrocities.

It's a nice long piece with personal stories about #Iraq's water shortage in the #Euphrates and #Tigris that has cost 90% of the last harvest and will continue into the next season.

Only mentioned in passing tho, and compared to the overall length of the piece, I find this short mention unjustified, are Turkey's dams. The last one went online in 2018 and curbs water flow in the Tigris, the Ilısu Dam. The Attatürk dam in the Euphrates went online in 1992. There are more, tho.
