#Beavers are returning to Greece!🇬🇷

Last year our restoration team, with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki & other international experts, completed a feasibility study in line with IUCN guidelines exploring the possibility of bringing back the #Eurasian beaver to Greece.

The #Greek Ministry of Environment & Energy has since given permission to the Greek NGO RWild in Greece, Beaver Trust & Aristotle University of #Thessaloniki to start reintroducing 120 beavers to northern #Greece from 2023-2027!

We look forward to working closely with the partners in the coming years to make this happen.
