Annihilation by Labor

New research suggests, that even though most indigenous people in the colonies died of european diseases, way more people died in the mines then expected and those who died by a disease had a lack of immune system because of the daily physical exploitation and destruction.

@lunavives That’s awesome! One of my good friends learned French in Cameroun and he even has the accent. It’s adorable, but he hates it because Frenchies interrogate him shamelessly about it (he’s also black so it gets super cringy … we were in Paris one time and I could not BELIEVE how people spoke to him/treated him, until they realized he was American and not African… #EuropeanRacism is its own thing, yo).
