What fresh hell is this? #Eurostar sends click-bait now? Half of me wants to know (it might the #freestuff) the other half can't be arsed, especially given I need to 'enroll my device'.

Home. Eventful journey to Paris and back, on the whole. Going, #Eurostar 1h 40m late arriving and we actually had to swap trains because the door(s) wouldn't lock so it wouldn't move. Coming home, 25 minutes' delay announced, which ended up being 45 minutes by the time we got to St Pancras. I galloped on to the tube and got to Paddington ten minutes before my train was due to leave, to discover there was no train. All cancelled, owing to person under a train at Reading.

Spent night at friend's.

Has anyone got experience of trying to travel from #UK to #France by #Eurostar with a #passport that is running out.

I want to go at the end of the month. My passport expires mid December. The return would be 1 October, so my passport would only have 2½ months validity, not the requisite 3.

How strict are they? Could a middle class, white disabled man ( and I am talking daily mail friendly disability here) get away with it?

@robincafolla if #railsail tickets were to London International (not only London), #Eurostar should rebook you for free for delays earlier in the journey, but I think that's only possible with split tickets (Dublin-Birmingham + Birmingham-London Intl, for example. A Dublin-London Intl simple ticket doesn't seem to exist). But if you missed the first leg so are now off your booked itinerary, I doubt that applies. Sorry. Your travel insurance might still cover it, depending on reason for missing.
