why do so many of my Eve devices not show up in their designated room, or with their name, but some do? The #EveEnergy outlets all identify as the same model 20EBU4101 and firmware 3.2.1, but some have a #Thread Transport layer setting?

@andrewconn I’m playing with #HomeAssistant as it’s in my NASs AppStore / AppGallery .

I have a lot of #EveEnergy devices but before they were on #thread / #matter.

So I’ll have to update them. I also have several #Kaiaterra #LaserEggs that are problematic to use at this point so I’m looking for alternatives

Curious question about #Matter (and #HomeKit):

I’m using an #AppleTV as HomeKit central and several #EveEnergy
smart plugs.

I could upgrade the plugs and the AppleTV to Matter.

Would it be possible to control (at least) the smart plugs using an #Android smartphone? Or is this even with Matter not possible and you still need a #GoogleHome central and the “Matter support” is only for more interoperability of different devices insides ONE of this walled gardens?

Andere sind auf dem Weg in die Regale. Der Start des Standards zieht sich, aber wenigstens kommt er nun wirklich spürbar in der Praxis an.

If you’re looking for a smart plug that works well with the #Apple #HomeKit ecosystem, then I highly recommend #EveEnergy smart plugs.

They’re very intuitive to set up and doesn’t require reset effort in the event of a home network outage (unlike other plugs I’ve tried). The plugs can be controlled via the HomeKit app or the Eve app on IOS/Android.

A single plug is $39, but you can get a 2-pack for $69. Well worth the price.
