Getting ready to populate my #Everdrive for the first time ever... I'm pretty impressed how big my indies collection is. So many cool #NES games released in the past few years!

So I just realised that my #Everdrive came from #Ukraine.

The person (group?) who manufactures these technological marvels, at no low price, apparently is running the operation from a small factory powered by a tiny generator, after the Russians attacked the power grid.

Look what I got for Christmas. It came as a total surprise. I was literally moved to tears. It's like all of the games I ever could play, now all on the big TV I always wanted, on my very own NES. (Custom Donkey Kong cocktail cabinet for scale.)

Honestly been tempted to make a genesis game(mega drive you all across the pond from me) for a while now, I've worked with 68k and z80 asm before so neither is unfamiliar to me, could be a fun side project to distract me from my main running project. Decided it wouldn't be right to just test emulated so I ordered an everdrive. (though I kinda want to make a fully custom cart, but that's after I actually make something working :P)

@mikebabb @bobstechsite That is #everdrive clone - a cartridge that has rewritable memory which can load in a selected game image from MicroSD card. So in this cartridge can literally be all 16-bit games #sega has ever released 🤩 Initial screen allows to select game image to load and then it acts as regular cartridge. When you power off, can load other game and so on. Super handy! #retrogaming

By the way, for What Remains we're using a 512K PRG 8K CHR-RAM SUROM Mapper 1, so the #game will work in many #NES emulators and flashcards.
