In life, Cardinal George Pell failed abuse survivors, rejecting the finding of royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse.

Survivors have been tying ribbons on the fence of St Mary's Cathedral, where his funeral will be held, as a sign of refusal to be silenced.

After days of church staff cutting them down and survivors tying back on, they secured a section of ribbons for the funeral!
