We weren't able to pay the inn yesterday so we have to crowdfund all night to stay safe shelter-wise (UGH 😭), but we almost have enough for our storage unit! 😻

I don't know how long I (Hare) have existed, but I think I've been around for a while, almost as long as the body considering how early our abuse began and my particular position back then.

Not going to go into details, maybe I can heal a bit if we're ever able to find a qualified therapist specialized in csa, eating disorders, cult survivors, CPTSD, plurality/DID, and non-binary trans clients... But Idk.

First we need to escape homelessness.

Always having to escape, always being in fight or flight mode, ALWAYS being scared for our safety has absolutely DESTROYED my partner, myself, and my headmates.

We have nothing left to us anymore.

My system (the Chasms) met our partner system (the Cascades) over 6 years ago, and we've been homeless/unhoused the majority of that time.

A friend was going to help us with housing recently, but she ended up causing us more trauma, quitting her job, then leaving us worse off than before she shoved her way into our extremely fragile space. 😤

So now we continue to fight being evicted from the inn while trying to pay down our enormous balance since falling behind on payments.

We have done everything we can to stay safe all these years, and we haven't actually been on the streets since we got our first kitty of the bunch because we fought so hard to keep a roof over him (and now the others of course), to keep him safe and make sure he knew he was loved because he gave us all a much needed reminder that life is very much worth living.

We have stayed with friends, abusers, in SO many motels, usually not actually getting sleep for needing to figure out if we would be able to afford the next night of shelter, food, meds...

The kindness of others and our own stubbornness and spite are the only reasons our family is even alive today.
