A8. Which incorporates standardizing on and sharing 'known good' practices - encoding them in Process Automation so anyone can use analytics properly; applying approaches like #MLOps & #DataOps to reuse 'known good' algos; etc. #eweekchat

A8. The single biggest advice I would give is to ensure and enforce (and fund!!) #governance in your #data #analytics practices. Cover best practices, but also security, legal, privacy, regulatory, etc. Good governance sets guardrails everyone benefits from. #eweekchat

A7. Huge challenge - if you can solve for culture you will win every time! So, education and training will help,; data scientists who can communicate with other humans; on the tech side, no black-boxes, more ‘explainable AI’. But culture is super hard. #eweekchat

A6. @zkerravala said - humans. It is always humans LOL!! I will die on this hill. Getting humans to use discernment, be incredulous, be skeptical, understand the science, know what is right, what is wrong, design better queries etc. #eweekchat

A5. This is fully predictable. Biz *say* they want to own technology, but they really just want IT to do better. I would bet most C-suite still cannot properly use Excel – what chance they can use a complex data analytics tool?? #eweekchat

A5. Certainly in @Sagable research into #DigitalTransformation, we are seeing the trend to low-code, no-code is failing to take hold or to delivery results. Citizen-led analytics will go the same way. #eweekchat

A5. IMO the 'democratization of #data' is still mainly a pipe dream. #GenAI is one thing, it is already trained, but most data analytics tools are not. You need at least some data science to make sense of them. #eweekchat

A3. Without doubt #GenAI is driving a lot of energy in #data #analytics in general. Different ofc but related, it is like a global demo or the ‘art of the possible’. Leaders see this and analytics is top of mind. #eweekchat

A2. Take #AIOps as one example. I see a lot of IT orgs adopting it, but use case are simple, mostly straight-line predictors, not complex algos. Predictive incident avoidance is the promise, and possible, but in reality is very rare. #eweekchat

A2. I think #data #analytics in 2023 is marginally underperforming. I don’t think the expectation is super high, but it is not living up to a lot of the hype. #eweekchat

A1. I think there has been too much hype around the ‘art of the possible' in #data #analytics, and esp. confused it with AI. No wonder the hype is outpacing the deliverables! #eweekchat
