Singlet fission is the production of two triplet excitons from one singlet exciton. Understanding this process is key to developing next generation photovoltaics which harvest more of the sun’s energy.
We used tools from decoherence theory to understand how this process depends on thermal fluctuations and movement of the photo-active molecules.
